Question and Answers
Will I be able to pay on the gate?
As you have no doubt already noticed we have put a 3,000 ticket limit on the You’ve Been Nabbed rally. Tickets will be available on the gate (£35.00 each) provided we have not sold out prior to the event.
Where is it?
The entrance to the Showground is on Flittogate Lane. (Not far from Junction 19, M6).
For several very valid reasons we have been asked by the Police and the Highways people at Cheshire East Council not to use the Windmill Pub junction of the A556 and Pickmere Lane for event traffic coming from the M6 junction 19 roundabout.
If you are coming from the direction of the J19 M6 roundabout you should follow the ‘NABD’ signs along the A556 then fork right onto the A559 into Lostock Gralam for a 3/4mile, then turn right onto Hall Lane. At the first crossroad turn right onto Church St (B5391). At the next crossroads this changes to Pickmere Lane. Follow this road past Pickmere Nurseries on the right, past the main entrance to the Showground and take the next right onto Flittogate lane. The new entrance is at the Showground Site Offices, on postcode WA16 OHJ.
Please Note: There is no right turn permitted into Flittogate Lane off the A556.
If you are travelling on the A556 from the direction of Davenham & Chester you can turn left into Flittogate Lane.
These routes will be signed with “NABD” directional signs.
Be Aware- There are quite a few speed cameras on the A556 in both the Manchester & Chester directions.
The site will be open for Traders and Marshals only from 12:00 noon on Thursday, May 7th.
The rally will officially open to the public at 12:00 noon on Friday, May 8th.
Please print these off and put them in your local bike shop, pub, club & wherever else you can!
What about Cars and Vans?
Cars and vans will be permitted on site if they have booked a vehicle pass in advance or purchased a vehicle pass at the gate. N.B. All cars and vans must be parked in the event car park and will not be allowed in to the camping area.
Caravans and Campervans
Caravans and campervans will be permitted on site if they have booked a pass in advance. This rule applies even if you have a valid blue badge. (The little ‘teardrop’ type of caravans people tow commonly with trikes are exempt from any extra charge or the need for a special pass). N.B. Caravans and campervans must be parked in the event area allocated and will not be allowed in to the camping area.
Blue Badge Holders
If you have a valid blue (disabled parking) badge you will have no need to arrange vehicle passes in advance and there will be no charge for your vehicle (but the person whose photo is on the badge must be in the vehicle and Badge must be presented on entry to the site).
Can I bring my own beer?
NO! Alcohol will not be permitted through the gate as we will be selling a good selection of beers wines and spirits at good prices on all three bars. Remember, this is a fundraiser for NABD, all profits from the bars help toward adapting vehicles for disabled riders. Also, glass bottles are not allowed in public areas. Please respect this – anyone found with alcohol NOT purchased at the rally will have the items confiscated or be asked to leave the rally.
Can I bring my dog?
Dogs will not be permitted on site at any time (Except guide dogs). Please note that other disability/aid dogs will only be permitted by prior arrangement. This is non negotiable and anybody arriving with a dog will be turned away even if they have tickets.
We reserve the right to check vehicles for alcohol and/or dogs when you enter the site.
Bike & Trike Show
Bikes brought in on trailers and trikes that are towed in will not be allowed to take part in the show on Saturday afternoon. So if you don't ride it, don't bring it.
Can I leave the site during the event?
If you wish to leave the site at any time please ensure you collect a pass-out from the gate or you will be charged for re-entry
Can I get a Refund?
No refunds will be made before, at or after the event for any reason.
I'd like to bring a trade stall

For the past few years the biggest problem facing us at the NABD’s national rally has been the shortage of volunteers to marshal the event. This has meant that a handful of very heroic folk have had to work very long hours to make everything work but we cannot carry on this way.
In a bid to encourage more people to help we have decided to add a few new measures to make marshalling a more attractive proposition. There will also be a ‘Marshals Only party’ on Sunday night to thank those who have stayed behind to help with the clean-up with free booze.
Regular marshals who commit in advance will receive free passes for the event and marshals who buy tickets will be entitled to a full refund on Sunday once they have completed their shifts.
