YOU'VE BEEN
NABBED 17

9TH - 11TH MAY 2008 AT ASTLE PARK, CHELFORD, CHESHIRE.

What's on?

The You've Been Nabbed 17 rally will feature some new aspects this year. In addition to the traditional stages in the adult-only marquee and the family marquee, there will be a new full-blown stage in the real ale marquee. All told the three stages will feature twenty bands over the weekend as well as a stand-up comedy show, a bikers fashion show, and children's entertainers.

Rick Hulse

The Adult Marquee

As always NABD Chairman Rick Hulse will be hosting the show in the Adult-Only marquee. (Well where else could you put him?).
The disco will be provided by Russ Page who will no doubt continue his fine tradition of barbed banter with Rick

Mik Scarlet

The Family Marquee

The show in the Family marquee this year will be hosted by Mik Scarlet (musician, singer, actor, journalist, sex symbol and media whore). Mik has been a patron of the NABD for many years but this will be his first active appearance at the You've Been Nabbed event. Mik will be best known to many for his outstanding work on BBC disability programs but his field of experience goes much wider and his unique style and huge character are sure to add a whole new aspect to the show.
The disco will be provided by Grav, as long as we can keep him supplied with custard.

Stevie Simpson

The Real Ale Marquee

"Mandolin Stevie" Simpson will be hosting the show in the Real Ale marquee (and with 25 different ales it is now officially a real ale festival within the rally). Stevie's affable nature and musical talent have already made him famous on the bike scene for many years and he can only be an asset to this already brilliant event.
New this year, this marquee has it's own disco, provided by Creature, ably assisted (as always) by his parrot.

Carry-Nowt-Camping

A company called Carry-Nowt-Camping have agreed to offer their services at the You’ve Been Nabbed rally for anybody who wants it. The really surprising thing is that the hire of a 4-person tent complete with airbeds will cost you just £30.00 (plus a £20.00 refundable damage deposit).
With four people sharing that’s only £7.50 each.
Less luggage to carry on your bike or trike, no crawling around trying to get a bent tent-peg through a stone underground, no smell of mold because you didn’t air your tent after the last event. You just turn up and a member of the Carry-Nowt-Camping staff will lead you to your ready erected, nice clean comfortable tent.
What a fantastic idea! And the added bonus is that Carry-Nowt-Camping will be making a donation to the NABD based on the business they do at the event.

Can I bring my own beer?

NO! Alcohol will not be permitted through the gate as we will be selling a good selection of beers wines and spirits at good prices on all three bars. Remember, this is a fundraiser for NABD, all profits from the bars help toward adapting vehicles for disabled riders. Also, glass bottles are not allowed in public areas.

Can I bring my dog?

No, sorry. Due to problems and complaints in the past, the only dogs allowed are guide dogs. The mess they leave is very unpleasant for wheelchair users.

I'd like to bring a trade stall
