I am a 71 year old motorcycle rider. I have ridden all types and makes of bikes in my time, but my favourite bikes are the big V-Twins. My latest bike is a Yamaha Bulldog BL1100.
I was out on this bike, which I bought new for my 70th birthday when a car pulled out on me, smashing my left leg.
Three months in hospital and two operations later, I came out of hospital with my left leg amputated above the knee. While in hospital, I was told about the NABD and the work they do, so I became a member.
Then when my bike came back from the repairers, I decided to have it made into a trike, which I entrusted to Trike Design of Cardiff and was very pleased with the result.
I would like to thank everyone who helped me back on my feet and a very big thank you to NABD for the grant.
A very big thank you to all,
Alfred Littlehales (Ted)
