Triumph Trident
Thumb Brake Adaption

After a bad accident 20+ years ago, I was left with limited movement in my right ankle and one leg shorter than the other. After soldiering on for years, always with problems with my right leg and the rear brake being worked with my right heel on sportsbikes, things could get quite hairy at speed.
Then I joined the NABD and got some ideas from Open House. Being a mechanic by profession, I knew I could do the work myself and it works fine out on the road. I wish I had done it years ago, but with the NABD’s help, riding these days is a lot easier.
The mounting bracket that holds the thumbrake to the bars is having a one-off billet one made, the one in the photo is a temporary arrangement as I got fed up waiting two months for a local engineering company to make one.
Many thanks to the NABD. Gary Jones This NABD Grant of £210.00 was sponsored by the 3rd Bristol Non-Urban Rally
