Suzuki GS650 Trike

At last I have got my trike, much delayed and not helped by getting rammed from behind in the Philippines this February, breaking my right hip. My story starts there in April 2001 when I attended a motor bike convention my club was holding. After it was over, I stopped for a holiday and one night a motorist took umbrage and rammed me off my motorbike and broke the tibia and fibia.

I got plastered up and flew home and that’s when it all went wrong. So, to cut a long story short, June 26th 2003, my right leg below the knee was amputated as I had gangrene of the bone marrow. I learnt to walk on a false leg, but sold my motor bike, as I couldn’t handle it.

n a visit to the limb centre, I noticed a poster for NABD, phoned up and got good advice off Billy Big Beard, got a grant for a Kliktronic.

I bought a trike and got Ray Fox to sort it all out. He delivered said trike, it’s a Suzuki GS 650, and ten minutes later I missed a bend and went straight through a hedge!

uckilly there was no damage and now I am really enjoying my freedom.

Thanks to all at NABD and I enjoyed the NABD Rally in Cheshire last May. I Hope to see you all at the next one.
