These fine volunteers represent the NABD at Regional and local levels around the UK, manning stalls and attending events to Fundraise, offer information & generally raise awareness of the NABD wherever they can.

I’ve been biking longer than I can remember but things got interesting in 1982 when I developed a severe blood circulation problem that slowly deteriorates over time. By 1999 I had to give up work and also thought I would have to give up riding as my legs were just not up to changing gears and braking. I was then introduced to the NABD and to cut a long story short they gave me a Kliktronic gearchanger and a thumb brake kit and I’ve never looked back.
To say thank you I did a ‘round the UK’ fundraising ride and then got talked in to being a rep. I’m very passionate about the work the NABD do so was only too happy to help out. One of the main reasons I agreed to step forward was because after checking the charity out I found they actually did what they advertise, there was no extraneous or surreptitious spending of other people’s money.
In 2016 I was again talked into becoming a Trustee and Committee member as the Club Liaison Officer so the NABD has become a very large part of my life.
