Goldwing GL1100 outfit

with a Kliktronic

Ken Jones from Macclesfield in Cheshire had an accident at work in 1995 which destroyed the cartilage in his left knee. As is common with damaged joints, Arthritis soon set in to compound the problem. Then in December 2001 Ken went into hospital for knee replacement surgery, but this proved unsuccessful and he cannot bend his knee to a sufficient degree to enable him to change gear on his Honda Goldwing GL 1100 outfit.

After contacting the NABD Ken was granted a Kliktronic gear-changer which he fitted himself with the help of a couple of members of his bike club. They had to extend the main suspension bracket on the engine somewhat to accommodate the unit but now Ken is back in the saddle where he belongs.

This Grant of a Kliktronic was sponsored by donations in memory of Alan Reichelt.
