I have wanted an outfit like this since I was 16 when the top of the range was the Vincent Black Shadow and Swallow Jet 80. I never managed it then, but now (40 years on) the Hayabusa with a heavily modified Sharechair is my dream come true.

I'd like to say thank you to the NABD for supplying my Harris thumb brake (it's the 'fork leg' mounted version as there was no room to fit the handlebar mounted one). The bike goes, and looks, fantastic with power and torque to spare. The car wheels and tyres put the handling and cornering ability on a different level to anything else I have ever ridden.

The build was done by Merlin Sidecars of Durham (Ken Munro 0191 386 6777)

The thumb brake needed a bit of thought but proved reasonably east to fit. If anyone needs any tips on fitting I'll be pleased to help if I can.

Right, I'm off for a ride (I can't keep off it!)

This thumb brake grant was sponsored by the Honda Goldwing Owners Club of Great Britain
